Tending to What Matters—Home, Heart, and Harvest
Hi, I’m Lannie Armstrong—a small-space gardener, content creator, homemaker, and woman of faith.
Here at Lannie Armstrong, I share the quiet beauty of a life grown with intention—rooted in my culture, shaped by faith, and lived joyfully at home.
This little corner of the internet is where I share what I’ve been learning (and unlearning) about building a beautiful, intentional life at home—one rooted in peace, creativity, and purpose.
Whether I’m growing tomatoes in a raised bed, filming a reel in my garden, or journaling about the quiet lessons of the season, I come back to this truth:
What we tend to—grows.
That’s why I’m here, and maybe why you are too.
🌸 My Story
I was born and raised in the Philippines, where resourcefulness, hospitality, and love for nature were woven into everyday life. What I grow in the garden, the way I tend my garden, prepare meals, and create content all reflect that deep cultural influence—where nothing is wasted, and every little thing is done with care.
I’m also a former licensed science teacher. I taught in the Philippines and later in the U.S., but I quickly realized that the classroom I wanted to be in was so much bigger than four walls. I felt called to teach in a way that was more personal, more creative, and more connected to real life.
That calling led me home—to the soil, the kitchen table, and the camera.
I started gardening in 2020, in a season where I was craving something more grounded. I had a few buckets, a lot of questions, and a deep desire to grow—not just vegetables, but a life filled with meaning.
Since then, I’ve turned our small backyard into a thriving garden and created multiple digital platforms to teach, encourage, and connect with other women who are building beautiful things from home—whether that’s a blog, a garden, a family rhythm, or their faith.
I’m married to a wonderfully supportive husband (Michael), and together we’ve created a home where small or big things matter: going to church together, talking anything about how our day went, shopping together, sharing meals, and traveling together.
💻 My Journey Into Content Creation
With my background in teaching, a love for photography, and a quiet creative spirit, I discovered the world of content creation.
What started as a way to document my garden grew into something much more:
A lifestyle brand rooted in faith, homemaking, small-space gardening, and the honest beauty of everyday life.
As an introvert, content creation has been a dream path—it lets me use my voice and skills in meaningful ways, all while working from home, honoring my rhythms, and living the life I’ve always wanted: peaceful, purposeful, and deeply present.
I’m also the heart behind Gingerfoot Garden and My Thriving Garden, but this space—Lannie Armstrong—is where I get to share the in-between moments. The deeper stories. The behind-the-scenes of homemaking, content creation, creativity, and growing a life of faith.
